Delicious Vegetarian (hands-on cooking class)

The benefits of cutting the saturated fats in meat are well established, but many meatless dishes fall flat in the satisfaction department. Well, these full-flavor dishes are hearty enough to satisfy any appetite. Working with the freshest, most wholesome ingredients, instructor Isabel Clark, RHN, will share vegetarian recipes that are healthy, easy to prepare and bound to please even the most finicky omnivore. Recipes will include Steamed Collard Ribbons with Umeboshi; Black-Eyed Pea, Brown Rice, and Spinach Sauté; Garlic-Sage White Beans over Herbed Polenta; Braised Tamari Carrots; and Cinnamon Cake with Fruit Compote.

Learn a variety of tasty and health-supportive dishes in a hands-on cooking class with holistic nutritionist and natural foods chef Isabel Clark of Clark Wellness at Sur la Table's fully equipped teaching kitchen. Recipes will include Steamed Halibut with Spiced Millet and Tamari Almonds; Smoky-Spicy Black Beans & Tomatoes; Pan-Seared Chicken with Kale, Garlic and Mushrooms; Yams and Collards with Thai Red Curry; and Warm Fruit Compote with Agave Coconut Cream.
